Steep Freeriding – Jérémie Heitz – 2016
It is not often appropriate to say that an athlete has taken his sport to a whole new level. But for Swiss freerider Jérémie Heitz, born in 1989, this is true without any question. As part of his meanwhile very well-known and unbrokenly fascinating project „La Liste“, he drove some of the most spectacular walls in the Alps in freeride style and at breathtaking speed. Walls that most people can’t even imagine you can climb, let alone ski.
I had the unique opportunity to watch Jérémie skiing the northern wall of the Stecknadelhorn near Saas Fee.
The mixture of elegance, perfection and, on the other hand, brute speed is almost impossible to describe. Pure goose bumps in front of an unbelievable scenery.
