Climb Magazine

In September 2014 Swiss Mountaineering Equipment manufacturer Mammut illuminated the famous „Hornli Ridge“ with their staff and in collaboration with mountain guides from Zermatt. The action was conducted with regards to the 150 year jubilee of the first ascention of the Matterhorn. The climbers were using headlamps to mark the route of the first ascenders and created an outstanding an unique scenario at the world famous peak. Read the full and watch a making-of video here.

Allthough Röbi Bösch has done a phantastic job shooting the illuminated Matterhorn as the main visual for the jubilee the picture printed in the „Climb Magazine“ was actually shot by myself. I can guarantee because I will definitely never forget this absolutely unique ambiance at the base of this inspiring peak.
